Commercial Forest Plantations

Our large-scale production facility allows us to provide a large range of trees, both exotic, such as eucalyptus, teak, and mahogany, AND native, such as Koa for the purpose of harvesting the wood.

Our experience in commercial forest plantation on the Big Island of Hawaii began in 1998. PruTimber had a problem. Lands they had leased for wood production were not producing revenue. They needed to plant trees on as much area as possible (2000-3000 acres/year) in the shortest amount of time. Smaller nurseries were not able to produce the quantity of seedlings needed on a consistent basis. As a result, Nursery Solutions, Inc. was formed, with an installed capacity of 2 million eucalyptus seedlings per year. NSI solved PruTimber's problem by allowing faster planting, with higher quality and lower cost seedlings than ever before and thus became the leading experts in commercial forest plantations.
